Dear LCP Members,
As we quickly head into the 2010 summer pool season, the LCP Board is very excited to tell you about
the many recent improvements taking place inside the pool area of the club. You may have noticed the fresh new coat of paint
on the pool house. Inside, we’ve also made some improvements. Taking your suggestions and concerns expressed in last
year’s club survey, we’ve added an extensive exhaust system to help improve circulation and reduce moisture inside
the restrooms. We’ve also replaced the metal ventilation grates with clear glass windows to improve lighting inside.
(Labor donated by Mark & Amy Wilson, design suggestions by David Kalin) We’ve also built shelving in both storage
room areas and added a manager’s office space.
We are dedicated to keeping the restrooms and entire pool deck area clean. Our other big project
is the re-grading, re-sodding and adding drains in the grassy areas, to eliminate the ongoing mud problems along the pool
deck.
We’ve done some major repairs to the pool equipment, as well. You’ll see refurbished
diving boards and guard towers, a new filtration system for the wading pool, and many other mechanical improvements we hope
will keep our pool a clean and safe place for your family.
Pool repairs and operation are extremely expensive and it’s your continued support of the club
through your dues and membership that we can make these improvements. It is also
why we’ve started the pool gate access system. (Designed/donated by Roger Deane) Now only paying members and their guests
will be using our fine facilities. We hope to begin handing out membership cards
at upcoming events; or you can pick yours up on your first visit to the pool.
In an attempt to improve safety we’ve made several changes to the pool rules, and invite you
to carefully review the pool website for a full list of new pool rules, regulations and party scheduling requirements.
This season we are also offering our adult members a new “Early Morning Swim”
Program. It will require those interested to pre-register, sign a waiver and agree to abide by strict safety protocols prior
to participating.
We know there will always be a need for further improvements to keep our pool and club grounds and
facilities in top shape. Your support of the entire club is critical for this to occur. The LCP Board looks forward to making
this pool season a really great experience. Thanks!!!
